NHS Quality Improvement Scotland

NHS Quality Improvement Scotland (Mental Health Services)

NHS QIS is a special health board which works with members of the public, patients and healthcare staff to translate the latest scientific research, expert opinion and patient experience into practical improvements that can be implemented in the health service.  The impact of alcohol misuse on society generally, and the NHS in particular, has long been a concern in Scotland. NHS Quality Improvement Scotland (NHS QIS) is committed to understanding how best to improve the quality of care in alcohol services across Scotland.

The report below summarises the findings of the SEDAA (Scottish Emergency Department Alcohol Audit) which was set up to provide expert advice and formulate an appropriate contribution to the growing evidence base on alcohol problems in Scotland.
